What Is A Home Inspection?
A home inspection is a thorough, visual inspection of the condition of the home, its mechanical systems, and any deficiencies of the building and its components.  All inspections are  performed in accordance with New Jersey statute (NJAC  13:40-15.16) and ASHI Standards of Practice. No personal property will be moved, distubed or dismantled by the inspector.

The most important part of the home inspection is safety.  Safety always comes first, even though these items may present an inexpensive correction, they are the most important!

The next most important issue in a home inspection is moisture intrusion.
This intrusion may be caused by any number of factors and, as a result, this
can cause many additional problems such as settling, cracking, rotting, and
mold growth.  The more moisture, the more likely a problem such as any of
these- or the increased severity of these if already present- may occur.
Recommendations are always made to prevent these problems from
developing in the first place!

Typical items evaluated in the home inspection are:

Kitchens & Baths
Interior and Exterior Walls
Plumbing systems
Electrical systems
Heating and Central Air Conditioning systems
Patios, Porches, Decks
Fireplaces & Chimneys
Stairs & Railings
Walkways & Driveways
Garages: attached/detached
Basements & Crawlspaces
Windows and Doors
Interior & Exterior Safety Concerns
